Nitin Nabin, the newly appointed national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has begun his term with a strong focus on organisation and elections. He chaired his first major meeting at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, sending a clear message about his priorities.
According to party sources, the meeting is being held in three sessions. It is aimed at setting the BJP’s political and organisational direction under Nabin’s leadership. Senior leaders and party workers are felicitating the new chief, after which he is expected to address the gathering. The agenda also includes the introduction of newly appointed state BJP presidents and a formal vote of thanks.
A key outcome of the meeting is likely to be the finalisation of Nitin Nabin’s national tour programme. Leaders are also discussing strategies for upcoming Assembly and local body elections, with representatives from poll-bound states taking part in the discussions.
Organisational strengthening is another major focus. Party leaders are reviewing ways to improve the structure of the party and expand the reach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, among workers and voters. A nationwide awareness campaign for the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, also called the G RAM G Act, is also under discussion.
Soon after taking charge, Nitin Nabin made his first organisational decisions. He appointed Vinod Tawde as election in-charge for the Kerala Assembly elections and Ram Madhav for the Greater Bengaluru civic polls.
Party sources say these quick moves show that the new BJP chief wants to stay focused on execution, organisation, and election readiness from the very beginning.
