Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.7051 (KB5067115) for users in the Dev and Beta Channels. The update introduces two exciting features — Ask Copilot on the taskbar and a Shared Audio option that lets two devices play the same sound at once.
Ask Copilot for Quick Help
The new Ask Copilot feature is designed to make interacting with the AI assistant easier and faster. It appears directly on the taskbar, allowing users to access Copilot Vision and Voice with just one click. This means users can now ask questions or perform actions using text or voice commands without opening a separate app.
According to Microsoft, Ask Copilot is an opt-in experience, so users can choose to enable it. To turn it on, they can go to Settings > Personalisation > Taskbar > Ask Copilot. The company also made it clear that Ask Copilot does not access personal content like documents or files — it only uses existing Windows APIs to show apps, settings, or features safely.
Shared Audio for Dual Listening
Another major highlight of this update is the Shared Audio feature. This new tool uses Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) Audio broadcast technology and is currently available on Copilot+ PCs. It allows two users to share and listen to the same audio from one device at the same time — ideal for watching movies or listening to music together.
To use Shared Audio, users need to open the Quick Settings menu, tap on the Shared Audio (Preview) tile, and connect two compatible Bluetooth devices.
Better Experience for Handheld Gaming PCs
Microsoft has also expanded the Full-Screen Experience (FSE), first seen on Asus ROG Xbox Ally devices, to other Windows 11-powered handheld gaming PCs. This improvement promises smoother performance, faster task switching, and more responsive gameplay. The update is currently rolling out to MSI Claw models and will reach other gaming devices soon.
Overall, this Windows 11 update focuses on smarter AI access, better sound sharing, and smoother gaming, making the experience more connected and user-friendly.
