Meta AI App’s “Vibes” Feature Becomes a Big Hit Among Users

Meta to Cut 1,500 Jobs as AI Takes Priority

Vibes Feature Brings Creative Freedom
Meta AI app is becoming increasingly popular, thanks to its newly launched Vibes feature. Introduced on September 25, this feature allows users to create AI-generated videos from images and share them publicly, much like Instagram Reels. Unlike other AI tools such as Sora or Veo 3, which have limited or paid access, Vibes is free to use and available to anyone with a Meta account. Users can also remix videos made by others, making it a fun and interactive platform for creativity. However, the app restricts users from generating videos of celebrities or public figures, ensuring responsible use of AI technology.

Downloads and Users Surge Rapidly
According to a report by Similarweb (via TechCrunch), the Meta AI app has seen a huge jump in downloads and daily active users (DAU) after the release of Vibes. Within four weeks of October, new daily downloads rose from less than 200,000 to 300,000, while daily active users increased from 775,000 to 2.7 million. This sharp growth is seen across both Android and iOS platforms. The data also shows that this rise is not linked to any major Meta-wide advertising or search promotion, suggesting that the Vibes feature alone has driven the app’s popularity.

The Meta AI app gives users an easy and free way to express creativity through short AI videos, without technical barriers. As the Vibes feature continues to attract more users, it highlights a growing trend where social media and artificial intelligence merge to create new forms of online expression.
