Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 15 5G in India, a feature-packed budget smartphone that brings a huge 7,000mAh battery, Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, and AI-powered software. The phone also promises a smooth 144Hz display and strong durability, making it one of the most powerful devices in its price range.
Price and Availability
The Redmi 15 5G starts at ₹14,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model. The 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants are priced at ₹15,999 and ₹16,999, respectively. The phone will go on sale from August 28 via Amazon, Xiaomi India’s website, and offline retail stores. Buyers can choose from three colours – Frosted White, Midnight Black, and Sandy Purple.
Display and Performance
The smartphone sports a large 6.9-inch full-HD+ display with up to 144Hz refresh rate and 288Hz touch sampling rate, ensuring smooth visuals and responsive touch. It reaches 850 nits brightness and comes with TÜV Rheinland certifications for reduced blue light, flicker-free viewing, and circadian-friendly protection for eye comfort.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, the device is paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 and will receive two years of OS updates and four years of security patches. The phone also supports AI features like Google Gemini and Circle to Search.

On the back, the Redmi 15 5G carries a 50-megapixel AI dual camera setup with features like AI Sky, AI Beauty, and AI Erase. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel front camera. The handset also packs Dolby-certified speakers for an enhanced audio experience.

The highlight is its 7,000mAh silicone-carbon battery, which supports 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging, allowing it to charge other devices. It comes with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and an IR Blaster.
