Ella Wadia, Jinnah’s Great-Great-Granddaughter, Shines at Le Bal

Ella Wadia, the great-great-granddaughter of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, made a stunning debut at the prestigious Le Bal des Debutantes 2025 in Paris. Known for bringing together young women from influential families around the world, the annual event celebrates fashion, culture, and heritage. Ella’s appearance attracted attention not only because of her elegant style but also due to her remarkable lineage.

Ella is the daughter of Jehangir Wadia, Managing Director of Bombay Dyeing, Go First, and Bombay Realty, and Celina Wadia, a renowned fashion designer. She comes from a family with deep historical and business roots. Her great-grandmother Dina Jinnah, daughter of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, married Neville Wadia, a Parsi from the Wadia family. This union linked the Wadia business dynasty with Jinnah’s lineage. Ella’s father, Jehangir Wadia, is the son of Nusli Wadia, the chairman of the Wadia Group. Ella also has a brother, Jahangir Wadia.

At Le Bal des Debutantes 2025, Ella wore a strapless gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab. The dress featured intricate embellishments and a body-hugging silhouette, helping her stand out among her peers. The event included young women from prestigious families, such as daughters and granddaughters of royals, business tycoons, designers, and global celebrities. Participants this year included Carolina Lansing, Isabelle d’Orleans, Lady Araminta Spencer-Churchill, and Ruby Kemper, among others.

Le Bal des Debutantes, originally known as the Crillon Ball, has been held annually since 1958. The ball is a platform for young women to celebrate elegance, tradition, and style while engaging with peers from diverse international backgrounds.

Ella’s debut not only showcased her fashion sense but also highlighted her connection to one of South Asia’s most significant historical figures. Her participation reflects the Wadia family’s global presence in business, culture, and social events. By attending this prestigious ball, Ella Wadia continues her family’s legacy of prominence while embracing a new generation of global representation and style.

Her appearance at Le Bal des Debutantes 2025 was widely covered in media, cementing her status as a rising young personality in international social and fashion circles.
