PV Sindhu’s Stunning Wedding Looks Still Inspire Brides Today

Badminton star PV Sindhu is celebrating her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Venkata Datta Sai. The couple got married on December 22, 2024, in a private and elegant ceremony at Raffles Udaipur in Rajasthan. One year later, Sindhu’s wedding looks are still remembered and admired by fans and brides-to-be across the world.

On her big day, PV Sindhu chose two different outfits, each reflecting rich Indian tradition with a modern touch. For the varmala ceremony, she wore a handcrafted Mysore silk lehenga from the Sabyasachi Heritage Bridal collection. The lehenga was paired with a full-sleeved “Kanthi” blouse, which added a royal feel to the outfit. She completed the look with a sheer dupatta featuring delicate golden dotted work and a scalloped border.

The red and gold lehenga was styled with classic Sabyasachi jewellery. Sindhu wore a heavy gold and emerald necklace, matching statement earrings, and a grand maang tikka. These pieces added richness and elegance to her bridal look. Her hair was styled in a sleek low bun decorated with a soft gajra, giving her a graceful and traditional appearance. Her makeup was kept simple and elegant, with soft blush, highlighted cheeks, and natural tones that enhanced her features without overpowering them.

For the pheras ceremony later that night, Sindhu changed into an antique gold handwoven tissue saree designed by Manish Malhotra. The saree featured beautiful gold and silver stripes and was decorated with fine badla and zardozi embroidery. She paired it with a detailed blouse that had leaf-pattern inlay work. An old-style head veil with Jamuna Ganga threadwork in gold and silver completed the traditional look. The veil also had the bride and groom’s names woven into it, making it extra special.

Her jewellery for this look was equally striking. Sindhu wore a multi-layered heirloom necklace made of 18k gold, featuring Zambian emeralds and uncut diamonds. She completed the look with matching earrings, bangles, a maathapatti, and haathphool.

Even after a year, PV Sindhu’s wedding style continues to set bridal fashion goals with its perfect blend of tradition, elegance, and timeless beauty.
