India’s Biggest Couture Event is Here
The 18th edition of Hyundai India Couture Week 2025, in partnership with Reliance Brands, has officially begun at Taj Palace, Delhi. Organized by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the week-long fashion event will run till July 30. This year, 14 top Indian designers will present their latest couture collections filled with luxury, tradition, and creativity.
Rahul Mishra opened the event with his collection Becoming Love, inspired by nature and Indian mythology, especially Krishna’s Ras. It builds on what he showcased at Paris Haute Couture Week, offering something special for his Indian audience.
The finale will be presented by JJ Valaya, known as the “czar of Indian couture”. His collection East is inspired by how the West imagined the East, using luxurious fabrics like silk, velvet, and brocade in spice and bridal tones.
