Tata Motors is set to launch the Tata Punch Facelift in India on January 13. Before the official launch, the updated SUV has already started arriving at dealerships. Pictures from showroom floors show the CNG version of the new Punch, giving a clear look at what buyers can expect.
The Tata Punch Facelift keeps the same overall shape but comes with a refreshed design. The front of the car now looks more modern, with updated lights, piano black elements, a redesigned lower grille, and new skid plates. These changes make the Punch look similar to other Tata SUVs like the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari.
At the rear, the Punch also gets updates. The taillights have a new design, while their overall shape remains familiar. The rear bumper has been redesigned to give the SUV a stronger and more rugged appearance.
Tata Motors has also introduced new colour options with the facelift. Buyers can now choose from Cyantafic Blue, Caramel Yellow, Bengal Rouge Red, Daytona Grey, Coorg Clouds Silver, and Pristine White. The model seen at dealerships appears to be in Coorg Clouds Silver.
The interior has received major changes as well. The Punch Facelift now comes with a new twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, toggle-style switches, redesigned AC vents, and a new 7-inch TFT instrument cluster. New features include a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and other safety and comfort upgrades.
Under the hood, the Tata Punch Facelift will get a new turbo petrol engine, though its specifications are yet to be revealed. The existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine will continue. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT option.
With fresh styling, new features, and added engine options, the Tata Punch Facelift aims to stay competitive in the compact SUV segment.
