Renault India has announced that it will increase prices across its vehicle range from January 2026. The French carmaker said the hike will be up to 2% and will vary depending on the model and variant. The company cited rising input costs and broader economic pressures as the main reasons behind the decision.
In an official statement, Renault India said the price revision is necessary to manage higher production and supply chain costs. However, the company stressed that it remains committed to offering good value, quality vehicles, and strong customer service in the Indian market.
The announcement comes at a time when many automobile manufacturers in India are raising prices. Factors such as higher raw material costs, logistics expenses, and inflation have affected the entire auto industry. Renault said the revised prices will be applied differently across its product lineup, though it did not share exact price increases for individual models.
Customers planning to buy a Renault car may consider completing their purchase before January 2026 to avoid paying the higher prices.
Renault India currently sells three models in the country, each aimed at a different customer group while focusing on affordability and value.
The Renault Kwid is the brand’s entry-level car. Priced from ₹4.30 lakh, it is a compact hatchback with SUV-like styling and a high ground clearance of 184 mm. The Kwid comes with modern features such as a digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Buyers can choose between 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines.
The Renault Triber is a budget-friendly MPV, starting at ₹5.76 lakh. It is designed for families and offers flexible seating options, allowing users to adjust space for passengers or luggage. The Triber received updates in 2025, making it more competitive in the MPV segment.
The Renault Kiger, also priced from ₹5.76 lakh, is a compact SUV competing in a fast-growing market. It offers bold styling, a feature-rich interior, and multiple engine options, including a turbo petrol variant. The 2025 update added more features and improved technology.
Renault also offers government-approved CNG retrofit kits across its range, along with extended warranty options and nationwide after-sales support. Despite the upcoming price hike, the company says it will continue focusing on value-driven products for Indian customers.
