Airtel’s Xtelify Launches New Cloud for Telecom Industry
Airtel’s tech arm, Xtelify, has launched a new cloud platform called Airtel Cloud, specially designed for telecom companies. This Gen AI-ready platform was originally built for Airtel’s internal use and can now handle a whopping 140 crore transactions per minute. It is now being offered to other telecom companies as both Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
The company says Airtel Cloud is 100% made in India and operates on sustainable data centres, which reuse water and other resources to stay eco-friendly. The platform supports advanced AI and machine learning (ML) tasks, making it perfect for modern digital needs. It’s also secure, scalable, and cost-effective, with Xtelify claiming up to 40% savings on cloud spending for Indian companies.
Smart Software to Boost Telecom Insights
Along with the cloud platform, Xtelify also introduced a smart AI-powered software tool. This software works on top of the Airtel Cloud and offers important insights such as:
- Churn prediction (which customers might leave),
- Network optimisation, and
- ARPU forecasting (average revenue per user).
It also includes two built-in platforms:
- A workforce platform for task management, and
- An experience platform to manage the customer journey.
This combination gives telecom companies a powerful tool to automate operations and improve services.
Big Partnerships Announced
To boost the platform globally, Xtelify has partnered with:
- Singtel (Singapore),
- Globe Telecom (Philippines), and
- Airtel Africa, which is already under Bharti Airtel.
This move shows Airtel’s aim to become a global cloud leader in telecom.
With Airtel Cloud, Indian telecom innovation takes a big step forward—offering AI-ready, cost-saving solutions for the rapidly changing digital world.
