RJD Leaders’ Remarks On PM Modi And His Mother Spark BJP Anger

PM Modi Warns on Antibiotic Misuse as Resistance Rises in India

Viral Video From Bihar Rally Triggers Police Complaint And Political Clash

The political atmosphere in Bihar heated up once again after a controversial video from RJD’s Bihar Adhikar Yatra in Samastipur surfaced online. In the clip, some RJD workers can be heard allegedly using abusive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother Heeraben. The video, reportedly recorded on September 20, quickly went viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

BJP Youth Wing Files Complaint

As the video gained attention, the BJP Youth Wing lodged a police complaint demanding strict action against those involved. BJP leaders accused the RJD of repeatedly targeting the Prime Minister’s late mother with derogatory remarks. They argued that such behaviour reflected a lack of political decency and respect.

BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla reacted strongly, calling it the “fourth instance” of insults aimed at PM Modi’s mother. He referred to earlier episodes in Darbhanga, Mahua, and other rallies, where similar offensive language was allegedly used. Sharing the news on X (formerly Twitter), Poonawalla wrote, “Once again, PM Modi ji’s mother has been abused. Is this a coincidence? No. Maa ka apman Indi alliance ki pehchaan (Insulting mothers has become the INDIA bloc’s identity).”

BJP Leaders Slam RJD

Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal also condemned the incident, saying that the RJD leadership has lost control of its workers. He described the remarks as highly objectionable and unacceptable in political discourse. According to him, leaders like Tejashwi Yadav, who was present at the rally, should take responsibility for what was said under their watch.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders warned that such repeated insults could backfire on RJD during the upcoming elections, as voters may not accept personal attacks on family members of political figures. They stressed that differences in ideology should not cross into disrespect for parents and elders.

The controversy has added a fresh spark to the already charged political scene in Bihar, with both sides preparing for heated battles ahead of the polls.
