India, France Must Work Together for Global Stability: Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has said that India and France need to work closely together to help bring stability to global politics. He made these remarks during a meeting with his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot in Paris.

Dr. Jaishankar said the world is currently facing a divided and tense geopolitical situation, and strong partnerships are important at such a time. He described France as one of India’s oldest and most trusted strategic partners and stressed that cooperation between the two countries is necessary to deal with global challenges.

He also highlighted the importance of regular dialogue between India and France. According to him, continuous talks help strengthen trust and keep the relationship strong as global situations change.

The External Affairs Minister pointed out that both countries play important roles in major international groups. India is chairing BRICS, while France is leading the G7 this year. He also noted that both nations are members of the G20, giving them more opportunities to work together on global issues.

During the meeting, the two ministers also discussed preparations for French President Emmanuel Macron’s upcoming visit to India next month. President Macron is expected to attend the AI Summit during his visit.

Dr. Jaishankar said the visit will further deepen cooperation between the two countries, especially in areas like technology and global governance.

Overall, the meeting focused on strengthening India-France ties and working jointly to support peace and stability in a changing world.
