There is major trouble inside the family of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav. The conflict started when his daughter, Rohini Acharya, announced she would quit politics and cut ties with her family. She alleged she faced humiliation after their party, the Mahagathbandhan, lost the recent Bihar elections badly.
Now, Lalu Yadav’s estranged son, Tej Pratap Yadav, has publicly supported his sister Rohini. Tej Pratap, who lost his own assembly seat, is urging both the Central and Bihar governments to order an investigation.
He wants the government to find out if his parents, Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, are being subjected to any form of “mental harassment.”
Tej Pratap claims that certain people, whom he calls “Jaichands” (traitors), are trying to keep his parents under mental and physical pressure. He said that if this is true, it is an attack on the RJD’s soul.
He specifically requested that Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Bihar government conduct an “impartial, strict, and immediate investigation.”
Tej Pratap also suggested that these ‘Jaichands’ influenced the party to go against its main ideas, even selling election tickets for cash. He expressed fear that his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav’s close aides might be physically or mentally harming his parents. He firmly stated that he will “not tolerate the insult to our sister under any circumstances.”
