UP CM Yogi Opens Rs 200 Crore Super Speciality Hospital

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the KDSG Super Speciality Hospital in Dadri, Greater Noida, on Thursday. The 300-bed hospital, built at a cost of around Rs 200 crore, aims to provide advanced healthcare facilities to residents of the National Capital Region (NCR).

During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the hospital and discussed the role of doctors and the quality of services. Former India cricket captain Kapil Dev and Gautam Buddh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma were present at the event. Yogi highlighted the importance of doctors’ confidence while treating patients, comparing it to how Kapil Dev’s presence on the cricket field would intimidate opponents. He said that a positive approach from doctors can help patients recover faster, boosting the hospital’s reputation.

The hospital will offer modern services in cardiology, oncology, and neurology, along with advanced surgical facilities. It is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities for around 1,000 people in the region.

The Chief Minister emphasized that healthcare is essential and citizens expect quality treatment and reliable services. He noted that while the government is working to expand healthcare access, private sector participation is also crucial. He praised the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which has benefitted nearly 60 crore people nationwide. In Uttar Pradesh, over 5 crore Golden Cards have been issued, allowing free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under the scheme.

Yogi also stressed the importance of balancing government rates and private hospital fees to ensure affordable care. He highlighted progress in the health sector, noting that India now has 23 AIIMS institutions compared to six in 2014. In Uttar Pradesh, nearly 81 medical colleges are operational or under construction under the ‘One District, One Medical College’ policy, compared to just 17 before 2017.

Kapil Dev expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and assured that the hospital would set new standards in healthcare. He said the institution will help put Uttar Pradesh on the national and international healthcare map.
