Samsung has announced that its first-ever triple foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, will go on sale in the United States starting January 30. The premium device was first launched in South Korea in December 2025 and is now expanding to more global markets, including the US.
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is priced at $2,899 (around Rs. 2.66 lakh) for the base variant, which comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The phone is available in a single Craft Black colour option. Customers in the US can already try the device at Samsung Experience Stores, while sales will begin both at these stores and on Samsung’s official US website.
The Galaxy Z TriFold runs on Android 16 with One UI 8.0 on top. Its main highlight is the large 10-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1,600 nits peak brightness. It also features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a higher peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Samsung has used a titanium hinge, Armor Aluminium frame, and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for durability. The phone also comes with an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
In terms of cameras, the Galaxy Z TriFold packs a 200-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilisation, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 30x digital zoom. There are also two 10-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls.
The device supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, UWB, and USB Type-C. It weighs 309 grams and includes a 5,600mAh battery with 45W wired and 15W wireless fast charging.
