Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch its much-awaited Galaxy S26 smartphone series in February 2026, according to new reports from South Korea. The company is expected to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco on February 25, 2026, focusing on new AI-powered features and advanced technology.
The upcoming lineup will include three models — Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This event will mark Samsung’s first launch in San Francisco in three years, with the city chosen because it has become a hub for artificial intelligence.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be the highlight of the series. It may feature a 6.9-inch Quad HD OLED display, a 5,400mAh battery, and an AI-enabled privacy screen. The phone could also come with a quad-camera setup, including an improved 200-megapixel main sensor, a new ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom.
Both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models are expected to have 6.3-inch and 6.7-inch OLED displays, respectively. They may come with a triple-camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 12-megapixel 3x telephoto camera. The S26 could pack a 4,300mAh battery, while the S26+ might offer 4,900mAh.
The phones are likely to run on Samsung’s latest Exynos 2600 processor in select regions, built on an advanced 2nm process, while other markets could get Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.
Reports suggest Samsung adjusted its launch schedule due to changes in its product lineup. Earlier, the company planned to release a Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge, but dropped the idea after the S25 Edge saw weak sales.
The new S26 series is expected to come with One UI 8.5, featuring AI-driven tools like priority notifications and enhanced privacy options. With these updates, Samsung aims to strengthen its lead in the smartphone market and push forward its global AI innovation strategy.
