OnePlus has launched its new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in India. The phone succeeds the OnePlus 13 and is India’s first device powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It comes with a 7,300mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports both wired and wireless fast charging. The handset will be sold via Amazon and the company’s online store.
Price and Availability
The base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at ₹72,999. The top-end model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs ₹79,999. With an HDFC Bank offer, buyers can get a ₹4,000 discount on the base model, reducing the price to ₹68,999. The phone will go on sale in India today at 8 pm IST. It comes in three colours: Infinite Black, Sand Storm, and Ultra Violet.
Display and Design
The OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 1,272×2,772 pixels resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It offers Sun Display technology for outdoor visibility and Eye Comfort modes for gaming and reading. The phone has slim 1.15mm bezels and a redesigned square rear camera module.
Performance and Features
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset powers the phone, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, G2 Wi-Fi chip, and a Touch Response chip. It offers up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. A 5,731 sq mm 3D vapor chamber and 360 Cryo-Velocity Cooling system help manage heat. The phone includes AI features such as Plus Mind, Google Gemini AI, AI Recorder, AI Portrait Glow, AI Scan, and AI PlayLab.
Camera and Battery
The OnePlus 15 has a triple 50-megapixel rear camera setup, capable of recording 8K videos. It includes Sony, Samsung, and OV sensors for main, telephoto, and ultrawide lenses. The front camera is a 32-megapixel Sony sensor that supports 4K video recording. The 7,300mAh battery supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, fully charging in about 39 minutes.
Other Features
The phone includes an in-display ultrasound fingerprint scanner, IP66/IP68/IP69+ dust and water resistance, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C, GPS, and multiple sensors for better performance. The Sand Storm variant is slightly thinner and lighter than the other two colours, weighing 211g compared to 215g.
