Nothing has launched the Phone 3a Lite, a new mid-range smartphone that brings the brand’s unique design and features to a wider audience. The device carries forward the company’s signature style with a transparent glass back, Glyph interface, and clean user interface, making it instantly recognizable as a Nothing product. It sits below the Phone 3a series but retains most of the distinctive features of the brand.
The phone is priced at EUR 249 (approx. ₹25,580) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the top model with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage costs EUR 279 (approx. ₹28,660). It will initially be available in Europe and the UK, with a later launch expected in India.
Design-wise, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite has a transparent back panel that reveals the rugged-looking battery module. It comes in White and Black options and weighs 199 grams with a thickness of 8.3mm. The device has a flat aluminum frame with good grip, volume controls on the left, and a power button and dedicated Essential Key on the right. The bottom houses the SIM tray, USB Type-C port, and speaker grille.
The phone features a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness. It supports 10-bit colour, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and 1000Hz touch sampling. The display performed well during initial testing with vibrant colours indoors.
Camera performance is a key highlight. The rear triple-camera setup includes a 50MP Samsung main sensor with OIS + EIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The front has a 16MP selfie camera. The TrueLens Engine 4.0 software offers AI scene detection, Ultra XDR, and Auto Tone for accurate skin tones.
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage (expandable via microSD), the phone runs Nothing OS 3.5 based on Android 15. It offers three years of software updates and six years of security patches. The device also includes Glance and pre-installed apps like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, which users can disable if desired.
Finally, the 5,000mAh battery supports 33W fast charging and promises long usage: up to 55 hours of music, 22 hours of video, and 9.5 hours of gaming. Overall, the Nothing Phone 3a Lite combines stylish design, solid performance, and good value for mid-range buyers.
