The iQOO 15 is on the horizon, with fresh teasers hinting at its imminent debut. The Vivo sub-brand has been dropping references to the upcoming flagship on Weibo, confirming that it will succeed last year’s iQOO 13. The handset is expected to launch alongside the iQOO 15 Pro, possibly as early as next month or by October in China.
One of the iQOO 15’s headline features could be Qualcomm’s next powerhouse processor—the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2—set to be unveiled soon. If true, the device could be among the first smartphones to sport the new chipset. Other rumoured specifications include a 6.85-inch 2K resolution display, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a massive 7,000mAh battery, potentially offering a significant boost in battery life.
The buzz around the device was amplified when iQOO product manager Galan V shared photos on Weibo of actress Zhao Lusi using an older iQOO model, joking that she should receive the upcoming iQOO 15. The company’s official account reposted the moment, further confirming its arrival in the Chinese market.
This is not the first time iQOO has teased its next flagship. In July, the brand revealed that participants in the ChinaJoy 2025 5v5 Honor of Kings tournament could win a chance to use the iQOO 15 before its official release, fueling anticipation among gaming enthusiasts.
While the China launch seems imminent, an India release may follow later—mirroring the iQOO 13’s rollout, which arrived in China in October 2024 and hit Indian shelves two months later at a starting price of ₹54,999.
For reference, the iQOO 13 features a 6.82-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. Its camera setup includes three 50-megapixel rear sensors and a 32-megapixel front camera. The phone houses a 6,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, and offers IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.
If the leaks hold true, the iQOO 15 could set new benchmarks in performance and battery life, solidifying its place as one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2025.
