Actor Ashton Kutcher shared a funny story from his early career when he was a young model. Before he became famous on television, Ashton tried his luck in the fashion world and worked with big brands. Once, he even got a chance to work with a top fashion house led by designer Tom Ford.
Ashton flew to Italy for a major fashion show and was asked to wear a bright pink Speedo. At that time, he weighed about 178 pounds. However, Tom Ford felt that Ashton did not fit the look he wanted. He told Ashton that he looked “too fat” for the outfit. Soon after that, Ashton was fired from the job.
At the time, the experience was upsetting for Ashton. But years later, he looks back at the incident and laughs about it. He says that he and Tom Ford can now joke about what happened. Ashton also explained that fashion designers often have very strict ideas about body shape, and he simply did not match that image then.
Ashton also spoke about how even successful and good-looking people feel insecure about their appearance. He said everyone has something they worry about when it comes to looks. That moment helped him learn not to care too much about other people’s opinions.
Although his modeling career did not go as planned, Ashton went on to become a successful actor in television and films. One early setback did not stop him. Today, he sees that moment as just another funny story from his journey to stardom.
