TVS Launches Apache RTX 300 to Make Adventure Biking Affordable in India

TVS steps into the adventure motorcycling world with its new Apache RTX 300, aiming to make premium off-road and touring experiences more accessible to Indian riders.

TVS Motor Company has introduced its first adventure motorcycle, the Apache RTX 300, marking a new milestone in its popular Apache series. The company says this move is part of its mission to “democratise adventure biking” — bringing high-end adventure touring features to more people in India.

The RTX 300 is powered by a 299.1cc liquid-cooled engine producing 36 PS power and 28.5 Nm torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Priced at ₹1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), it promises a balanced mix of performance and comfort for both city and long-distance rides.

To suit various terrains, the bike offers four riding modes — Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally — that adjust traction control and ABS settings. It also includes modern features like a bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, traction control, and a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation.

Built on an all-new RT-XD4 platform, the motorcycle’s design focuses on comfort and control, supported by long-travel WP suspension, steel trellis frame, and ergonomic seating suitable for standing or seated riding. Additional features include LED headlamps, tire pressure monitoring, adjustable levers, and mounting points for panniers and top cases.

TVS also plans to build an adventure community around the bike through rider events, training academies, and touring accessories in partnership with GIVI and Alpinestars.

According to TVS executives, the adventure and touring bike segment in India is growing rapidly — much faster than the overall motorcycle market. With the Apache RTX 300, TVS aims to bring the same success it achieved in performance biking to the adventure category, offering Indian riders an affordable entry into the world of exploration and touring.
