Renault India Records 21% Sales Jump in Festive October

Renault India saw a strong rise in sales this October, marking a positive turn for the automaker during the festive season. The company reported wholesale sales of 4,672 units in October 2025, a 21% increase compared to 3,861 units in October 2024. This growth came as Renault benefited from festive demand, its refreshed car lineup, and the boost from the government’s GST 2.0 reforms.

Renault’s performance also outpaced the industry’s average growth rate of 17.3%, showing that its strategy of improving models and expanding outreach is paying off. Popular models like the Triber and Kiger played a major role in attracting customers, especially with their new designs and features.

On a month-to-month basis, Renault’s sales improved 9.5%, up from 4,265 units in September 2025. This shows a steady recovery as buyer confidence strengthened during the festive season. Retail sales also reflected this trend — VAHAN registrations touched 5,041 units, a 12.7% rise compared to the same month last year. Dealerships reported more visitors and stronger demand from both cities and rural areas.

Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Renault India, said, “October recorded a strong upswing in sales, thanks to the overwhelming response to our newly launched Triber and Kiger. Customers across India have shown great confidence in the brand this festive season.”

With this positive momentum, Renault is entering the last quarter of 2025 on a high note. The company continues to build on its local manufacturing strength at the Oragadam plant in Tamil Nadu and is expanding its retail presence with over 350 sales and 450 service outlets, including more than 250 Workshop on Wheels service units across India.

Renault’s growth comes as it aligns with its global “Renaulution” strategy, which focuses on sustainable mobility, electrified vehicles, and greater market competitiveness. The October results show that Renault India’s efforts to refresh its products and connect with customers are helping it regain a strong position in the Indian automobile market.
