Record Output in August 2025
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is gearing up for a strong festive season in India. The company achieved its highest monthly production of electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, at its Chakan plant in August 2025. A total of 4,921 units were built, up 15% from July’s 4,290 units.
- January–August production: 29,126 units
- Wholesales delivered: 26,942 units
- SUV sales share: 6.89% of 390,464 SUVs sold by M&M
This output sets a strong base for festive demand.
Festive Sales and Special Edition Success
M&M is banking on festive sales momentum with these premium e-SUVs. On August 15, the company launched the BE 6 Batman Edition priced at ₹27.79 lakh. All 999 units sold out in just 135 seconds, highlighting massive demand for themed EVs. Deliveries will begin in Q4 2025.
Strong Market Share Growth
Between January and August 2025, Mahindra delivered 19,435 e-SUVs to customers, mostly BE 6 and XEV 9e models. This is a 308% jump year-on-year, up from 4,738 units in the same period of 2024.
