Hero Vida Zooms Past 1 Lakh E-Scooter Sales Milestone

Hero MotoCorp’s electric brand Vida has hit a major milestone by crossing 1 lakh (100,000) unit sales in India. Since its launch on October 7, 2022, Vida has clocked 100,195 units in retail sales as of August 4, 2025. The growth has been especially impressive this year, with 45,000 units sold in 2025 alone, giving the brand a 6% market share in the Indian electric two-wheeler (e-2W) market.

In July 2025, Vida recorded its highest-ever monthly sales of 10,504 units, doubling its performance from July 2024. This surge helped Hero Vida secure a 10% market share in that month, thanks to strong demand for the Vida V2 and the newly launched VX2 Go and VX2 Plus models.

Sales momentum picked up after the V2’s launch in December 2024. The VX2 variants, launched on July 1, 2025, further boosted sales due to aggressive pricing. The VX2 Go is priced at ₹44,990 and the VX2 Plus at ₹57,990 under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, making them among the most affordable e-scooters in the country.

Hero Vida sold just 182 units in its first two months (Nov-Dec 2022), followed by 11,142 units in 2023. The brand saw a massive leap in 2024, selling 43,709 units, a 292% year-on-year growth, and claimed a 4% market share that year.

From January to early August 2025, Vida has already surpassed its entire 2024 sales, recording 43,885 units sold. If this trend continues through the festive season, the brand is on track to cross 1 lakh sales in a calendar year for the first time.

To support growing demand, Hero MotoCorp has expanded its sales and service network to over 200 touchpoints across 120 cities, with 4,500+ charging locations nationwide, including the Ather Grid network.

With rising demand, aggressive pricing, and improved accessibility, Hero Vida is fast becoming a key player in India’s EV revolution.
