MSME Technology Centres Approved for Himachal Pradesh

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has approved the setting up of two new MSME Technology Centres in Himachal Pradesh. These centres will be established in the Pandoga area of Una district and the Parwanoo industrial area of Solan district.

Each centre will be developed at an estimated cost of around ₹10 crore. Pandoga and Parwanoo are among 13 new Technology Centre Extension Centres that the MSME Ministry plans to set up across different parts of the country. The move is expected to support industrial growth and strengthen small and medium industries in the state.

The new technology centres will provide modern technical facilities and services to local industries. They will help businesses improve product quality, adopt new technologies, and increase production efficiency. This support is likely to attract more industrial investment in Himachal Pradesh.

A major focus of these centres will be skill development. Local youth will get access to training in modern manufacturing techniques, tools, and processes. This will help them improve their skills and increase their chances of getting jobs in industries or starting their own small businesses.

The centres are also expected to create new employment opportunities, both directly and indirectly. By supporting existing industries and encouraging new units to come up, they will contribute to economic growth in the region.

Overall, the establishment of MSME Technology Centres at Pandoga and Parwanoo is seen as an important step toward boosting industrial development, promoting self-employment, and strengthening the MSME sector in Himachal Pradesh.
