Google’s upcoming AI models, especially the Gemini 3 series, have created a lot of excitement online. Every day, new rumours appear about what Google might be planning. A new leak now suggests that Google could release the powerful Gemini 3 Pro model along with its next image-editing model, Nano Banana 2. However, the company has not officially confirmed any launch date.
The latest leak came from a tipster on X (formerly known as Twitter). The tipster shared a screenshot of a code snippet that they claimed was taken from Google’s Gemini app for iOS. The code contained a message saying, “Try 3 Pro to create images with the newer version of Nano Banana.” This message hints at two major possibilities. First, Google may be delaying Nano Banana 2 so it can launch it along with Gemini 3 Pro. Second, the new version of Nano Banana might be powered by the Gemini 3 Pro model itself.
This would be a change from the current Nano Banana model, which uses Gemini 2.5 Flash. It is still unclear whether the Flash version will continue to support the new tools or if Gemini 3 Pro will take full control. It also raises questions about how fast the new model will generate images.
Adding to the speculation, several X users reported that Gemini 3 Pro briefly appeared inside the Gemini Android app’s Canvas mode. Some users even claimed that the app performed better while handling complex design and coding tasks, beyond what Gemini 2.5 Pro usually achieves. However, these reports cannot be verified.
Another hint came from TestingCatalog, which shared that Gemini 3 Pro was listed in the model selection menu for Gemini Enterprise users. All these signs point to Google testing the new model internally or accidentally exposing it before the official release.
The growing number of leaks suggests that the release might not be far away. Even Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently confirmed that the Gemini 3 series would arrive before the end of 2025. With so many clues appearing at once, users may soon get a clearer picture of Google’s next generation of AI technology.
