iQOO 15 Launches With Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 7,000mAh Battery

Powerful Performance and Premium Design
The iQOO 15 has officially launched in China and is expected to arrive in India soon. It is among the first flagship smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, promising top-notch performance. The phone features a large 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display with 2K resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. With peak brightness reaching up to 2,600 nits, it ensures clear visibility even under bright sunlight.

The iQOO 15 also brings back wireless charging, which was missing in its predecessor. It supports 40W wireless and 100W wired fast charging, backed by a massive 7,000mAh battery — one of the biggest in premium phones. The device runs on Vivo’s new OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, instead of the usual Funtouch OS. This marks its first global rollout with this updated interface.

In terms of design, the phone comes in multiple variants — Track and Legendary — with slight differences in thickness and weight. It’s also IP68 and IP69 certified for dust and water resistance, offering strong durability.

Camera and Expected India Launch
The iQOO 15 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup — a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, it sports a 32MP front camera.

The phone supports LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, available in combinations of 12GB or 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Other features include dual speakers, RGB lighting around the camera, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and dual-band GPS.

The iQOO 15 is priced in China starting from CNY 4,199 (around ₹52,000). The India launch is expected in the coming weeks, though no official date has been shared yet. iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya confirmed that it will be one of the first Indian phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, setting new standards in performance.
