JBL has launched the new Tune Beam 2 true wireless (TWS) earphones in India. Priced at ₹5,499, these earphones come with many features like strong bass, active noise cancellation (ANC), and support for personalised sound.
Design and Comfort
The JBL Tune Beam 2 has a simple and comfortable design. The earbuds are lightweight (5.2g each) and come with soft silicone tips. They fit well, even during gym sessions. The case is slightly bulky but looks clean with a matte finish. It has LED lights in front and a USB-C charging port at the bottom. The earphones are available in Blue, Black, and White.
Features and App
The earphones are IP54 rated, meaning they can handle dust, sweat, and light rain. You can use touch controls to manage music, calls, and ANC settings. These touch controls can be customised through the JBL Headphones app, available on Android and iOS. The app also lets you adjust ANC, ambient sound, and audio settings.
One major feature is Personi-Fi 3.0, which lets you personalise the audio according to your hearing. There are also equaliser presets and the option to create your own sound profile. The Spatial Audio feature gives a more immersive sound feel.
However, the app experience is not always smooth. Sometimes it fails to connect with the earphones, and navigation can be slow.
Performance and Specs
The Tune Beam 2 earphones have 10mm drivers and support Bluetooth 5.3 with multi-point connection. They work with SBC and AAC audio formats but do not support LDAC. You can adjust the level of noise cancellation, which is useful in different situations.
However, some premium JBL features like “Check My Best Fit” and “Smart Talk” are missing in this model.
Verdict
For ₹5,499, the JBL Tune Beam 2 offers great sound, decent ANC, and many custom options. If you want punchy audio and useful features at a good price, these earbuds are worth a try.
