At its annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2025, Apple unveiled iOS 26 and iPadOS 26—the latest redesigned versions of its operating systems for iPhones and iPads. The update introduces a host of new features and enhancements, including a fresh design language called “Liquid Glass.”

Which iPhones will be getting iOS 26?
iPhones equipped with the A13 chip or newer are expected to receive the iOS 26 update. This means devices like the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will not be eligible for the upcoming upgrade.
Additionally, as with last year, not all supported iPhones will have access to Apple Intelligence features. If you’re unsure about your iPhone model, go to Settings > General > About > Model Name to check.

Which iPads will be getting iOS 26?
iPads running on A12, A13, A14, A15, A16, or any M-series chips will be eligible for the iPadOS 26 update.
