Boat Wave Fortune Watch Debuts With NFC Tap & Pay

Boat has launched its latest smartwatch, the Wave Fortune, in India, offering advanced features like NFC-based Tap & Pay and Bluetooth calling. Priced at ₹3,299, the watch is currently available at an introductory price of ₹2,599 via Boat’s official website. It is available in an Active Black colour.

The key highlight of the Boat Wave Fortune is its contactless payment feature, enabled through a partnership with Axis Bank. Users can add their Axis Bank credit or debit cards via the Boat Crest Pay app. With tokenisation technology from Tappy, the watch enables secure payments up to ₹5,000 by simply tapping the watch on an NFC-enabled POS machine—no PIN required.

The smartwatch features a 1.96-inch rectangular display with a 240×282 pixel resolution and 550 nits brightness. It also comes with wake gesture support and a Watch Face Studio that allows users to customise the display look.

Health and fitness are well-covered with over 700 active modes, heart rate and SpO2 monitors, sleep tracking, stress tracking, menstrual cycle tracking, sedentary alerts, and a daily activity tracker.

The Boat Wave Fortune supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Bluetooth calling, letting users take and make calls directly from the watch. It also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear and workouts.

Powered by a 300mAh battery, the smartwatch promises a battery life of up to 7 days on a full charge and takes only 2 hours to recharge completely.

With features aimed at convenience, fitness, and connectivity, the Boat Wave Fortune offers excellent value in the budget smartwatch segment, especially for those looking for NFC payments on a budget-friendly wearable.
