BMW Motorrad is all set to launch the updated version of its premium electric scooter, the CE 04, on July 3. This stylish and futuristic scooter is already available in India since July last year, priced at ₹15.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version will first be launched in international markets, and it is expected to come to India by the end of next year.
The teaser image of the updated BMW CE 04 has already been shared, showing a new paint scheme. However, the full design details are still under wraps. The new version is likely to get a sharper and sportier look compared to the current model.
Some new features and equipment upgrades are expected in this version. The current CE 04 already comes with a big 10.25-inch TFT display for the instrument cluster. The new model may offer better features and a more premium feel.
The current BMW CE 04 runs on an 8.5 kWh battery and an electric motor that delivers 41 bhp and 61 Nm torque. It can reach 50 kmph in just 2.6 seconds and has a top speed of 120 kmph. On a full charge, it can travel up to 130 km.
The updated version of the CE 04 may offer a longer range and faster charging. Right now, the scooter takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to charge fully with a fast charger. The new version may reduce this charging time slightly.
Once launched in India, the price of the upgraded CE 04 is expected to be slightly more than the current version due to the added features and improvements.
BMW CE 04 is a high-end electric scooter meant for urban use. With its bold design and powerful performance, it aims to attract buyers looking for a premium electric two-wheeler.
Those interested in electric scooters will have to wait a little longer for its India launch, but the global reveal on July 3 will show what’s new in store.
