Honda City Sport Edition Debuts with Sleek Black Makeover

Honda Cars India has launched a stylish new version of its popular sedan—the Honda City Sport Edition, priced at ₹14.89 lakh (ex-showroom). This limited-edition model gets several sporty design tweaks both inside and out, setting it apart from the standard variants.

The City Sport Edition features multiple aesthetic upgrades. On the outside, it gets a bold black front grille, glossy black shark fin antenna, trunk lip spoiler, and ORVMs, all enhanced with a special ‘Sport’ badge. Completing the look are sleek grey alloy wheels. It is available in three colours: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic.

Inside, the cabin turns all-black with contrasting red stitching on the seats, door panels, and steering wheel. It also gets a dark red dashboard insert, blacked-out pillars and roof liner, glossy black AC vents, and seven-colour ambient lighting—giving it a premium and sporty feel.

Feature-wise, the Sport Edition packs everything from the higher trims, including Honda Sensing, the brand’s ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and collision mitigation braking.

Under the hood, it retains the trusted 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine delivering 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox and paddle shifters. The car is E20 fuel-ready and claims a fuel efficiency of 18.4 kmpl.

While Honda has not disclosed how many units will be sold, it has confirmed that the Sport Edition will be available in limited numbers, making it an exclusive choice for enthusiasts.

With this launch, Honda aims to lure buyers looking for a premium, performance-inspired sedan to rival the Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Hyundai Verna.
