Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, said that caste-based politics can weaken the unity and strength of India. He made these remarks while speaking at the Jauhar Shraddhanjali Samaroh held in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
During his speech, Adityanath said that some people try to divide society by focusing on caste differences. According to him, such politics harms social harmony and can damage the country’s foundation. He stressed that India needs unity among people rather than division based on caste.
The chief minister said that throughout history, great warriors were remembered for their courage, sacrifice, and strong character, not their caste identity. He quoted lines from famous Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar to explain that bravery and dedication are more important than social divisions.
Adityanath also praised the history and culture of Chittorgarh. He described the Chittorgarh Fort as a powerful symbol of India’s pride and resilience. He paid tribute to several historic leaders who fought to protect the country and their faith.
Among those he mentioned were Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Guru Gobind Singh. Adityanath said these leaders did not fight for personal power but for the protection of the nation and their values.
He also spoke about the tradition of Jauhar in Chittorgarh, which took place during historic battles in 1303, 1535, and 1568. According to him, these events showed the courage and determination of women who chose to protect their honour during difficult times.
Talking about governance, Adityanath said that law and order has improved in Uttar Pradesh under his government’s strict policy against crime. He stated that women and girls in the state now feel safer going to school or working even at night.
The chief minister also praised Narendra Modi for supporting development in the state. He added that strengthening village systems and local institutions like Gram Panchayats will help build a strong and self-reliant India.
