Jio Launches Safety-Focused JioBharat Phones and AI Classroom at IMC 2025

Reliance Jio unveiled two major initiatives at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 — the new JioBharat Safety-First Phones and the Jio AI Classroom programme. Both are designed to promote safer connectivity and digital learning across India.

Smartphones with Safety at the Core
The latest JioBharat phones, priced from ₹799, are aimed at children, women, and elderly users, prioritising safety and simplicity. These handsets feature location monitoring, usage management tools, and a seven-day battery backup, making them ideal for families seeking controlled and reliable communication.

Through the built-in Usage Manager, guardians can select who can call or message their children, while blocking unknown or unwanted numbers. This feature helps reduce risks associated with spam calls and ensures limited exposure to social distractions.

The phones also include real-time location tracking, allowing users to share their live location with family or friends — a helpful tool for caretakers monitoring elderly parents or for parents ensuring their child’s safety. According to Jio, these phones are easy to operate and designed to balance connectivity with digital well-being.

The handsets are available across Jio Stores, JioMart, Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, and other retail outlets. Jio believes that these safety-first devices will not only help children stay connected but also offer women and senior citizens an added sense of security in their daily lives.

AI Learning for the Future
Alongside its phone launch, Jio also introduced the Jio AI Classroom, a free four-week online foundation course on Artificial Intelligence (AI), developed in collaboration with Jio Institute. The programme, powered by JioPC, aims to introduce students to AI concepts and practical tools in an easy and interactive manner.

Learners can access the course via PCs, laptops, and smart TVs using the JioPC platform. The curriculum covers topics such as AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and creative applications. In the final week, students complete an AI-powered capstone project, integrating their new skills.

Participants will gain hands-on exposure to AI-based productivity, learning, and creativity tools. JioPC users will receive exclusive benefits like extended access to advanced tools, a detailed learning roadmap, and a certificate from Jio Institute, while others earn a completion badge.

With these new offerings, Jio aims to bridge safety and technology — empowering India’s users to stay protected, connected, and future-ready.
